The Infinite and the Minute<\/i><\/h4>

It begins with a resonance: Dawri<\/i>, \u201cturn\u201d. This ancestral Tunisian refrain, whispered by women, becomes the epicenter of a choreographic seismic shift.\u00a0<\/p>

In this work for six dancers and one singer, La Otra Orilla explores the implacable cycle of existence: to be born, to resist, to let go, to die.<\/p>

How do we inhabit intensity? How do we hold space for the breaking point? How do we watch over one another at the edge of the void?<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Presence and Lineage<\/h4>

Two figures stand at the heart of this work: our intrepid grandmothers, one from the shores of Tunisia, the other from Greece. Weathered powerhouses, their imprint acts as a guardian of authenticity and anchors this exploration of edges and thresholds \u2014 those points where existence tips and presence becomes absolute.<\/p>

La Otra Orilla as Territory<\/h4>

La Otra Orilla means the other shore. It is born of friction, creating the spark where flamenco meets other bodies, other voices, other worlds. At our heart is an eclectic merging of identities.<\/p>

Dawri was forged between Tunis and Montr\u00e9al, nourished by the pull between these two worlds.
