Founded by Quebec choreographer and dancer Myriam Allard and Franco-Tunisian director and singer Hedi Graja, La Otra Orilla (“the other shore”) creates captivating works that foster a sensory dialogue among diverse artistic languages. The company delves into the essence of flamenco, weaving it with an array of cultural and artistic influences to produce innovative, hybrid performances.
Established in 2006, La Otra Orilla stands as a bold and distinctive voice dedicated to invigorating the tradition of flamenco, infusing it with contemporary relevance. Its performances resonate with ancient echoes while remaining attuned to the calls of the present day.

La Otra Orilla’s studio is a space for dreaming, creating, entertaining, learning and gathering. Located in Montreal’s Saint-Henri district, the company’s creative space offers flamenco classes, artist residencies, rentals and artistic events. In the image of its founders, La Lola is a luminous space, open to the world and devoted to creation in all its forms.
